Record the original before changing it
Photograph the part in place and the broken pieces together. Keep the interfaces that locate it, including clips, pins, holes and contact faces. If a piece is missing, tell us which dimensions can be measured on the surrounding assembly instead.
Explain how the failure happened and whether it has happened before. That helps distinguish a change you want to explore from a feature that needs to be copied accurately. We can quote a straightforward replacement through our custom-parts service when redesign is unnecessary.
Change a defined feature and compare it
A redesign brief might ask for a different grip, more installation clearance or a revised body around the same fixing points. AI-assisted tools can support the shape exploration, while the retained interfaces provide a practical reference for checking the result.
Start by checking the fit, then assess the revised feature in its intended use. A thicker-looking model or a different material is not evidence of a longer service life on its own. Tell us what would count as a successful replacement so the review can focus on that outcome.
Questions about replacement part redesign
Do I need AI-assisted design for every replacement?
No. If the original geometry works and you simply need another copy, conventional modelling may be the appropriate scope. We can discuss that when reviewing the part.
What if I only have the broken part?
Send clear photos of the pieces with a ruler and the assembly they came from. We can identify what is measurable and what needs a fit prototype before the final dimensions are agreed.
