This is a hinge to attach an acrylic glass door to a wooden frame. The provided objects are for a 10mm wood panel with a 5mm acrylic glass sheet, inset by 5mm. The model contains a spacer to compensate for this 5mm inset. If you have other dimensions, use the parametric Fusion360 design to adjust the hinge to your needs. This hinge was part of the “Build a 3D Printer Enclosure” project I published on my blog. Read this tutorial for all details. Update 2023-01-29: Updated the project and prints to the latest standards. Added a drawing. All original files are available in a “legacy” ZIP file.RequirementsTo attach the hinge with the dimensions published, you need a couple of screws: 2x M5x60 screw for the hinge axis.3x M5x10 screws to attach the glass door.6x M5 nut.4x 3x10 wood screws. How to Print the HingeI prepared PrusaSlicer projects with example prints for a medium and small-sized printer in the files section; use these as a good starting point. If you like to slice the models from scratch, have a look at the table below: Nozzle Size:AnyLayer Height:AnyFilament Materials:PETG recommended PLA worksPerimeters:Three perimetersPrusa Slicer Profile:“0.2mm Quality”Supports:No supports, no raft, and no brim required.DimensionsThis design provides a spacer block to inset the glass by 5mm. This spacer block is optional if you plan to mount the glass flush with the frame. Please use the Fusion360 design in the file section if you need special dimensions and adjust the parameters to your needs. Explore More from Meti·kumiInterested in my designs?
