This is a model of the portal door from The Owl House. A model of the key is also included. There are three versions of the door and one version of the key which are listed below. One side of the door is 83.6mm wide and 165.1mm tall. The front of the suitcase is 83.6mm wide and 55mm tall. The print requires brown, yellow and black filament. SolidThis is a simple model of the frontside of the door. There are two files to this version. “toh_door-solid.stl” for the door“toh_door-eye_filling.stl” for the black part of the eyeBoth can be printed at 0.1mm layer height. For “toh_door-solid”, start with brown filament and change to yellow at 2.6mm. HingeThis is a model of the front- and backside of the door, connected with a hinge. There are two files of this version. “toh_door-hinge.stl” for the door“toh_door-eye_filling.stl” for the black part of the eyeBoth can be printed at 0.1mm layer height. For “toh_door-hinge”, start with brown filament and change to yellow at 4.1mm. SuitcaseThis is a model of the frontside of the door which can fold up into a suitcase. It is the most complicated version. There are four files. “toh_door-suitcase.stl” for the door“toh_door-suitcase_eye_top.stl” for the top section of the black part of the eye on the door“toh_door-suitcase_eye_bot.stl” for the lower section of the black part of the eye on the door“toh_door-suitcase_eye_back.stl” for the black part of the eye on the front of the suitcaseEverything can be printed at 0.1mm layer height. All eye-parts can be printed together. “toh_door-suitcase” requires supports on buildplate. Start with brown filament and change to yellow at 4.9mm. It uses a lot of small hinges, printed directly onto the buildplate. Make sure everything sticks on the first layer. Removing all supports and freeing the hinges for the first time will be tricky. I recommend using a tiny screwdriver or a small knife. There are more than enough hinges, so it doesn't matter when some break in the process. KeyThis is a model of the portal key. There are three files: “toh_door-key.stl” for the main body of the key“toh_door-key_eye.stl” for the yellow part of the eye“toh_door-key_eye_filling.stl” for the black part of the eyeThe eye-parts were printed at 0.1mm layer height. The body of the key was printed at 0.15mm layer height. “toh_door-key.stl” requires supports. Set supports to “For support enforcers only” and add “toh_door-key_support_enforcer.stl” as a support enforcer. EpilogueModel of the door from the epilogue of S3E3 Watching And Dreaming. 101mm x 163mm x 13mm Printed at 0.2mm layer height. No supports required. Ironing recommended. I also recommend setting the top fill pattern to concentric. I've used four colors - Blue, Red, Yellow, and Brown. My filament changes are: start with blueswitch to red at 1.8mmswitch to yellow at 2.2mmswitch to brown at 3.3mmThose are the filament changes in the pre-sliced files. But you can also use more changes (to make the colors more accurate) or less (if you want an easier print or don't have that many colors).
