I designed this f-clamp holder to store my clamps in the most compact way on the wall. The holder is intentional massive and bulky to withstand the weight and forces that are put on the object. For regular and small clamps, have a look at design LR2219. How to Print this Clamp HolderThere is a Prusa Slicer example project ending in “Print”, where I configured all my recommended settings. If you create your own project, please note the unusual print orientation! The object is printed upright, standing on the small bottom area. While a print on the “back-side” is technically possible, the resulting holder will have the layers in the wrong orientation. Unless you use ASA for the print, the holder will most likely break over time. The holder will work up to a bar width of 8mm and a head width up to 25mm. The holder is designed for long clamps, where the bar will provide enough weight to hold them securely in place. I did not test clamps with a head length of more than 20cm, so I do not know how well they will stay in place. MontageUse 5mm countersunk wood screws to fasten the holder on any wall. Ideally, put a screw in every prepared screw hole to equally balance the forces and avoid bending of the part. Tighten the screws carefully by hand! About the Fusion360 DesignThe Fusion360 design lets you easily adjust the dimensions of the slots and the total size of the holder. The design does automatically adjust the number of slots, to make the best use of the width. Only adjust parameters in the favourites section. As Fusion360 has numerous problems, especially with fully parametric designs, I only recommend adjusting the design in Fusion360 if you are an experienced user of this software.
