Fast(est) Printing Modular Drawer SystemOne can never have enough drawers, but the available 3D models take ages to print and waste a lot of material. There are alternatives using vase mode which print a lot faster but have other limitations (stability, special settings, only single printable, no compartments). That’s why I designed this system that is sturdy and versatile and even prints a bit faster than the vase mode models since it doesn’t need a solid frame. So, within one day, you can print a drawer shelve with 20 drawers for under €/$ 10. Try to get this on Amazon 😁 A 0.6 nozzle and PETG are recommended for ultimate print speed and tensile strength but I spent some effort to finetune the drawers to be printed with common systems and materials. If you find it too flimsy use the optional drawers with thicker walls. If your printer is well calibrated try the optional ultralight drawers as the fastest option (probably won't work with PLA). The frame is designed as a press-fit system that offers maximum rigidity with minimal material usage and is assembled without external hardware in under a minute. There are single and double drawer modules in regular and double width which can be combined to units of any size and shape with the included snap-fit connectors (see Assembly). Then gently tap every corner into place —e.g. with a small hammer. No glue needed. Optionally include top cover for upper module. Connect the individual units horizontally and/or vertically using the included snap-fit clamps (here in orange). The easiest way is to place the frames side by side on their fronts /backs and push the connectors down.
