For accurate spacing of dog-holes on your workbench or multi-function table. I find that most 3d-printed drill templates wear out quickly, introducing slop and reducing the precision and accuracy of the hole. This jig is designed to hold a lee valley dog-hole drill bushing, thus preventing the drill bit from contacting the 3d printed parts, and ensuring accuracy over dozens, or even hundreds of drillings. The bushings are available in 20mm and ¾", depending on your preference: Dog Hole Bushings - Lee Valley Tools I printed the jig and dog holes using a 0.8mm nozzle at 0.32mm (draft) layer height quality and had no issues with the accuracy of the jig. The bushings and dogs fitted in the jig with zero play or slop. I have included 3d printed dogs to use for positioning the jig while you drill. You can use the edge-dogs and / or corner dog to hold the jig in place against the edge of the surface for the first hole. After every new hole, you can reposition the dogs in the previous holes to fix the jig in place for the next hole. I have a separate set of models for more robust reinforced dogs, and lockable reinforced dogs. EDIT: At the request of one user, I have added two new versions of the jig with tighter tolerances on the three (non-bushing) jig holes. While I have experienced no slop with this jig, the user found too much play in the holes. The original jig had a 0.4mm difference between the dog diameter (20mm) and the hole diameter (20.4mm), the new versions have holes that are sized smaller: 20.3mm and 20.2mm respectively. I have also added a test hole model you can use to check. I suggest printing the dogs first, then one or more test holes. The fit should be tight, but should not require force to get the dog in the hole. Then print the jig corresponding to the test hole that worked for your prints.
